In 1836 Theodore Hands Mogridge, a 26 year old medical doctor in Sidmouth, wrote a 'Descriptive Sketch of Sidmouth', in 1826 George Rowe, a distinguished artist, came to Sidmouth and sketched 48 residences - 'A Walk Back In Time' combines Theodore's narrative with George Rowe's 1826 illustrations giving an interesting insight into Sidmouth in 1836.
